🐎 How Do You Know When Your Tps Sensor Is Bad
Tryremoving and reseating the throttle body connector with some dielectric silicone grease. As far as I can see, the throttle body electrical portion is not available separately even though it looks like it should be able to be removed. You might also want to to do the same with the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Thesesymptoms include: 1. The Oil Pressure Light is on. The oil pressure gauge inside your car will give you a good indication as to the condition of the engine's oil levels. If the Low Oil Light comes on, but you check the oil in the engine and it's at a good level, then a faulty oil pressure sensor may be to blame.
Keepthe screws loose and slowly turn the TPS counterclockwise until you feel it hit the throttle valve shaft. Then dial the correct millivolts by turning counterclockwise. It's very touchy and should be close to the right voltage at that point. I seen you physically sticking the meter leads in the connector grommet.

Visuallyinspect the sensor for worn insulation on the wires and a loose or cracked connection. Disconnect the sensor. With the digital volt ohm meter or DVOM in the 20K ohm position, connect the positive DVOM lead to the sensor's center terminal. Connect the negative DVOM lead to one of the other sensors' terminals.
Stepsto calibrate the throttle position sensor: Turn the ignition ON and wait for a few seconds. Turn the ignition OFF and wait for a few seconds. Turn ON the engine and make sure it is warming up at a normal operating temperature. Check all the prerequisites mentioned above and make sure they are in place.
MaladjustedTPS. If GM TPS sensors have any inherent flaws, it is a tendency to slip out of adjustment. Though this can happen to any car, many GM owners have reported such a failure. The TPS must be adjusted (rotated) so that it reads idle and full-throttle positions properly, or it may appear to be malfunctioning.
Ifyour Chevy Cruze has a faulty throttle body, it can cause it to run terribly. Common symptoms of a bad throttle body include dirt and grime, the check engine light, and an erratic idle. Your Cruze's throttle body controls the amount of air that enters the engine. You control the throttle body position with the gas pedal.
JeremyMcCallister said: I think my throttle position sensor is going out. I seem to have a dead spot in my throttle around the quarter throttle area. Whenever I have the pedal in about the 25% area the truck surges as I move the throttle back and forth through that range. It has a range of about 1/4" that while the throttle is in that range
